HOW TO REACH TAVISTOCK BY CAR AND BUS




Tavistock is on the south-west edge of the Dartmoor National Park
about 24 km (15 miles) north of the maritime city of Plymouth.



By car, Tavistock can be reached along the A386, southwards from Okehampton (itself on the east-west A30 trunk road through Devon) or northwards from Plymouth. An alternative route is by travelling east-to-west through the beautiful scenery of central Dartmoor and reaching Tavistock on the B3357. From Cornwall, one can use the A390 via Callington and Gunnislake.


Tavistock is also served by various bus routes including:
79: From Callington via Gunnislake
83/84: From Plymouth via Yelverton
85/86: Linking Plymouth and Barnstaple via Tavistock
98: From Yelverton via Princetown
185: Bere Ferrers/Bere Alston to Yelverton via Tavistock
186: From Okehampton via Launceston
